I received the most wonderful care from Michiana Home Care after my car accident. I loved them all so much but Heidi, my home health aide, was one of my favorites. She helped me a couple times a week to safely feel fresh and have clean hair, which was something that I looked forward to. My therapists and my nurse were so kind and I looked forward each day to who would be coming to help me that day. By the time Annalisa completed my therapy care plan, I was able to get around with a cane and was able to put the walker away. My occupational therapist imparted the encouragement I needed to be able to do regular household things safely and by myself! I can honestly say that they were a HUGE part of my recovery and I would recommend them all to ANYONE!

We used Michiana Home Care for my father's physical therapy after brain surgery from cancer, as he was left partially paralyzed from a brain tumor. MHC went above and beyond to make my father comfortable and safe. Their professionalism was astounding, but still had this tenderness about them that made us feel they were part of our family. If we had a question or concern, they were there to explain. We never felt as if we were burdening them or bothersome, They were there for us in every sense of the word. Unfortunately, my father lost his battle, and our therapist was there to cry and mourn with us! Again, going the extra mile to make US feel better. You want and hope to find an agency that will take care of your family member with compassion and loving care, but push enough to see the healing results, and that is MHC!

I endorse Michiana Home Care 100%! The owners truly care about their patients, working behind the scenes to make sure only top-notch care is given. The office staff, the nurses, physical therapists, and physical therapy assistants (especially Annalisa), constantly strive to give care that is 5-star.
When I was an executive director and nurse of a local senior living facility, Michiana Home Care provided monthly blood pressure clinics and weekly group exercise programs at no cost to the residents or the facility. These programs allowed for increased observation of immediate and potential physical and/or medical concerns of residents, thus allowing me to keep the physicians and families more informed. This also gave the residents an opportunity to maintain optimal health. Michiana's staff was always willing - even after-hours -- to brainstorm with me if a resident had an unusual occurrence. There were times Paula even interrupted her vacation time to speak with me about a resident. I just cannot express enough how giving, caring, and competent this agency is. The owners are not just business people -- they are licensed in the medical field and have hands-on experience. I think that makes a big difference in the philosophy of and care given by this agency.
My husband has recently become a client of Michiana while he is receiving cancer treatments. We know they are only a phone call away 24/7 if we have any questions or concerns. They have also gone above-and-beyond working with his schedule since he is receiving treatments 2 hours away from home. They are working closely with the doctors at the University of Michigan Cancer Center making sure they are providing care to the Cancer Center's protocol.

As a nurse and working with the senior population for many years, I have had experience with many local home care agencies. None have given the care and concern that I have seen all staff at Michiana give. In my opinion, there is no other completely competent agency.
